Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Private Equity Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in deal sourcing, research, due diligence, and data analytics. Interns will gain exposure to the full investment lifecycle, working closely with senior professionals in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ongoing outreach and collaboration with investment banks, corporate sellers, and other deal sources.
- Conduct market research and industry analysis to identify potential investment opportunities.
- Assist in research, valuation analysis, and due diligence on target companies.
- Support the deal team in reviewing investment memoranda, company presentations, and term sheets.
- Analyze financial statements and assess business performance for existing and prospective portfolio companies.
- Help maintain databases of potential acquisition targets and monitor market trends.
- Prepare internal presentations and reports summarizing findings for the investment team.
- Participate in meetings with management teams, advisors, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques (DCF, LBO, comps).
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with financial databases (e.g., Capital IQ, PitchBook) is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to work with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-sufficiency and motivation to find solutions to challenges that produce a variety of viable solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
- Prior experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or financial services is a plus.
